There’s a ton going on for summer!

Summer Solstice Party  •  Sat June 24 • 8:00 pm
Celebrate the long summer days and hot summer nights at the museum’s ninth-annual Solstice—a night where art and music come together featuring 2 stages packed with artists from around the globe: from extraordinary Cuban percussionist Pedrito Martinez, to mind-bending electronic music of Botany; from RAM, Haiti’s top voodoo-rock ensemble, to Third Coast Percussion playing the music of Steve Reich; from Angolan-Portuguese producer Batida, to the electronic looping mastery of Bayonne, and a late DJ set by modern funk pioneer Dām-Funk.

Bring the family for an outdoor movie under the stars in Coventry P.E.A.C.E Park.  
Movies include favorites like Moana, Sing, Finding Dory and more. Click to see the full listing. start @ 9 PM. Come early for pre-movie activities, crafts and summer fun with starting at 8PM.

Shaker Square Concert Series  •  Saturdays @ 6 – 9pm through August 17

Bring a lawn chairs and friends and enjoy live music and fun with the family on your Saturday evenings this summer. The Shaker Square organization is hosting a free concert series where bands from every genre imaginable come to perform for your listening ears. Each Saturday there are bands performing and the line up is as follows: Passport Project (World Music), Vernon Jones Blues Cartel (Blues), Heart & Soul (Motown), Northcoast Jazz Collective (Modern Jazz), Horns & Things (Jazz), Carlos Jones & the Plus Band (Reggae) and many more! Black in America: Louis Draper and Leonard Freed thru July 30, 2017
The exhibition presents two views of African American daily life during the civil rights era
through the photographs of Louis Draper, a black fine art photographer,
and Leonard Freed, a white photojournalist. Cleveland Museum of Art.

Cleveland Shakespeare Festival: Taming of the Shrew
Shakespeare’s classic “Battle of the Sexes” told with a fresh twist, with females playing all the major roles. In this zany comedy, beautiful Bianca (DeLee Cooper) is sought after by many suitors, but they must first find a match for her older sister, the brash and cunning Katherina (Khaki Hermann). Heights Beer Garden with Live Music  • Fridays at 5:30 to 8pm
Cool off in our happy hour beer garden with an ice-cold, hand-built brew from Cleveland favorite, Butcher and The Brewer. Concerts are all ages. (Must be 21+ with proper ID to purchase alcoholic beverages.) Explore the neighborhood — Open artist studios from 7-9 at Artful Cleveland (Located right across the street in the former Coventry School Bldg.)In the event of rain, the above concerts will be moved to Ensemble Theatre.
