Thanks to my friend, Renee we had a wonderful girl’s night out at Viaggio Tapas located at 324 Sunrise Hwy in Rockville Centre. The motivation behind our get together was that Renee and the Rockville Centre Lions Club put together a benefit where specific restaurants would donate 20% of their sales on April 4th, 2017 for the groundbreaking of an all inclusive special needs playground. The respectable restaurants that partook in this venture were ; GM Burger, GM Club Steak, George Martin, Chocolate Works, Dark Horse, Hudson’s , MacArthur Park, Cabo, Flour Shoppe, Nick’s Pizza, San Remo, International Cafe, Freshark, Mario’s Bakery, Monaghan’s, Cannon’s Blackthorn, Parmagianni, Gino’s Pizza and R.J. Danilels. Hats off to all those that participated in this worthwhile event. Our dinner was delightful, the bartender, Luke took care of us well and my favorite was the fresh meats and cheese board adorned with grapes and olives .Another fave was the flatbread with caramelized onions and zucchini topped with warm goat cheese:
It was a low-key evening spent catching up, reminiscing and eating for a worthy cause! The planned inclusive playground on Hickey Field would feature climbing cargo nets, a suspension bridge, musical equipment and other structures that kids of all ages would enjoy.
