Peter’s Fish Market Gets New Digs!

For nearly 40 years, Peter’s Fish Market has been serving up fresh seafood and fish to local families and businesses…from a rather small space. Well, they just got some new digs; Peter’s moved down the street into a much larger space where they can spread out a bit! for both retail and wholesale customers. Not only do we love the amazing quality of their fish–we love their competitive prices!

Peter’s opened in 1974, brothers Peter and Steve Sclafani left the streets of Brooklyn to create a seafood house in the suburbs of New Jersey. Their grandfather, Anthony, immigrated to the United States from a small Italian fishing village. Sclafani’s father, Stephen, followed suit and opened a market in Brooklyn NY.

Peter’s sources their seafood from both domestic and international waters. The business has both a retail and wholesale division. Each morning, Peter’s Fish Market procures shipments from both local and foreign waters and to ensure the purchase of fresh product, the Sclafani’s travel to the New Fulton Fish Market at Hunt’s Point.

Congrats on your new space, guys!
