Bobby Byrne Show in Ridgewood this Thursday

From Jazz to Rock & Roll – The Ridgewood Summer Concert Series has something for everyone. If you haven’t been to an outdoor concert at “The Shell” you don’t know what you are missing.  Make sure to bring a chair and some blankets.

Another summer under the stars with great music at the Kasschau Memorial Band Shell on Vets Field. On Thursday, June 28 is The Bobby Byrne Show, a unique blend of music that features Broadway show-stoppers, Irish ballads, Italian arias, hilarious novelty numbers, Elvis Presley rockers and old time sing-a-long songs. Bobby will often segue from a foot-stomping medley of Elvis Presley rockers to a classical aria like “Vesti La Giubba” from “Pagliacci”. All of the 16 Tuesday and Thursday shows are free. Definitely bring a lawn chair and bug spray. The concerts start at 8:30 p.m.

The series will wrap up on August 2 with Marlene VerPlank and the American Standards and Jazz Trio. Check The Village of Ridgewood Website for the schedule.

Call 201.444.1776 for more info. The Kasschau Band Shell is located on Veteran’s Field (corner of Maple Ave and Linwood Ave), directly behind the Ridgewood Public Library and Village Hall.
