Now that the weather is warming up, here’s a fun way to get outside on the weekend with the family or a group of friends. Head to beautiful Long Valley, NJ. Start with a wagon ride pulled by Clydesdale horses at Willow Grove Farm. The ride goes along the Columbia trail, passing through the farmlands of Morris and Hunterdon counties.  The wagon can groups on a 1-2 hour ride through farm country. Rides include barn tours and a chance to meet greet their 27 other horses. They also offer carriage rides for smaller parties.

For those who like horseback riding, take a trail ride on one of their magnificent Clydesdale horses for $75 per person for an hour. Trail rides can be scheduled any day of the week. Next hit Valley Creamery just 5 minutes away. They offer Spring Lamb Tours April 13th, 2019 thru end of June on Saturdays and Sundays at 1 P.M. and 3:30 P.M. The tours are about 1-1.5 hours. You’ll get a peek at their state-of the-art milking barn and get a glimpse of cheese making in action! You’ll have a chance to taste a few of their cave-aged cheeses. Next, you’ll meet hundreds of fluffy cuddly, baby lambs and get to hold one for the photo. Valley Creamery, 50 Fairmount Rd, Long Valley, NJ

After your ride, head over to the historic Long Valley Brew Pub for a late lunch or early dinner. The Long Valley Pub and Brewery resides in a breathtakingly restored 200-year-old stone barn., While you’re there, take a tour of the brewery with Brew Master Michael Formisano as he explains the brewing process every Saturday, May thru October 12-4 pm.
