Brain Boosters: Creative Classes to Expand Their Minds!

Besides being a ton of fun and a way to spend those dark winter days, art classes are a way to expand your child’s mind and increase their ability to be a creative thinker. This winter, Visual Art Center of NJ is offering a full of array of classes where kids can explore a myriad of different art mediums. In their Art Exploration and Art Fun-damentals, children will have a chance to dabble several mediums over the 10 week session from drawing and painting to sculpture. Children with a passion for drawing or painting can focus on those mediums and work on more specific skills studying composition, perspective, proportion, color theory, and values while creating still lifes, landscapes, portraiture, or figure drawings. Classes run from January 8 through March 15.

Classes start at $220 for 10 weeks and are available for children ages 6 years old through teen.

It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
