Besides being a ton of fun and a way to spend those dark winter days, art classes are a way to expand your child’s mind and increase their ability to be a creative thinker. This winter, Visual Art Center of NJ is offering a full of array of classes online and in-person where kids can explore a myriad of different art mediums. In their Little Artists’ Art Sampler, children will have a chance to dabble several mediums over the 10 week session from drawing and painting to sculpture. Children with a passion for drawing or painting can focus on those mediums and work on more specific skills studying composition, perspective, proportion, color theory, and values while creating still lifes, landscapes, portraiture, or figure drawings.
Classes begin January 11 and start at $220 for 10 weeks for children ages 4 years old through teen. To participate in online classes, students need to have access to a computer, tablet, or phone with internet and access to Zoom. Class materials fee will cover a specially curated art supply kit which will be available for pickup at the Art Center the week prior to the start of class. At the end of the class, the kits are yours to keep for continued artmaking!
