Free Senior Health Program on 9/20 at Allendale Community for Mature Living

On Thursday, September 20, area residents and caregivers are invited to attend a free senior health program at The Atrium Assisted Living at The Allendale Community for Mature Living in Allendale. The event will highlight the special challenges that families and caregivers face in caring for seniors and methods to support them.

Upcoming Dates for Baseline Concussion Testing at Valley’s Sports Institute

As part of its Concussion Management Program, The Valley Hospital Sports Institute conducts baseline concussion (a.k.a. pre-concussion) testing for athletes ages 10 and older. If an athlete does experience a concussion, he or she is re-tested and that data is compared with the baseline results to properly monitor recovery and determine when it is safe for the player to return to active sports.
