Rainy Day Fun in Cleveland

Ironically, one of my things to do on a rainy day in Cleveland is, well, completely indulge in the rain and head to the rainforest. It’s not as wet as outside and you won’t need an umbrella. We could hang out there for a good 2 hours–especially in the cold winter months! Walk around listen to the sounds of the jungle as birds fly free and a rainstorm occurs every 12 minutes complete with lightning, wind, and thunder. Porcupines, anteaters, monkeys, alligators and more! There are over 600 animals and 10,000 plant species to learn about. The porcupine and the two-toed sloths are our favorites!

The Rainforest at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Adults, $6.25. Children (2-11), $4.25. Under 2, free.

It renewed my love of publishing where I can design colorful, enticing pages online and allows me to share the things I love about being a mom." Heather grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a place that still is near and dear to her. " After living in Brooklyn for 18 years and studying Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, she now lives in the Jersey burbs. "I love living so close to NYC, but in my heart, I'm an Ohio girl."
