Dining in Hudson: Indulging in the Flipside
If you happen to be in Hudson, treat yourself to something slightly sinful at the Flipside Burger. Their burgers are somewhat over-the-top but you can walk it off while you shop. They use Ohio-raised premium grass fed beef and serve their burgers on them on toasted brioche sesame seed buns. A few of their more creative combinations include the Green Eggs and Ham Burger made with Prosciutto and topped with a fried egg warm spinach, parmesan and basil mayo and the French Flip made with beer braised short ribs and topped with caramelized onions, swiss cheese and roasted garlic herb aioli.
I can make a perfect meal out of the Handcut Truffle Fries, 5.99 and their Blueberry Pie Shake with blueberries, pie crust and vanilla ice cream. You can even add a shot of vodka for $3. There are plenty of other shakes to indulge in like the Apple Pie Shake (add bourbon for $3) made with chunks of apple pie and caramel and the rich, chocolatey Brownie Shake.
Because I want to fit into the clothes that I just bought at The Grey Colt, I will be having the Hummus Board, homemade hummus with fresh crispy cucumbers, pickled vegetables and olives with warm flatbread. They also have a about 6 salads to choose from.
