Mary Therese Rose Run 5K Run/Walk

Race note: Strollers welcome, Therapy Tagged Dogs Only (Therapy dogs with permit only). A beautiful certified course, features opportunities for families to enjoy the day at Darlington Park right off of Rt 17 and McArthur Blvd.  A 5K Run/Walk at 10 a.m. followed by Mary’s Mile at 11:00 a.m. will fill your hearts with joy to see the kids enjoy!  BBQ sponsored by Nicolosi Foods, Family fun activities, Kids Zone, Food, prizes and awards to follow the 5K event.  Teams of 5 or more are welcome to dawn their fun or corporate jersey and will be awarded for the top three largest teams!  10 year age groups 7 – 80+ will be awarded.  Goodie bags, shirts and bib numbers may be picked up Saturday 8:30 – 9:45 a.m. May 9th.

The Mary Therese Rose Fund was formed as a 501c3 in honor of Mary Therese Rose Crilly who was born in 1998 with Joubert Syndrome.  Though Mary was profoundly  disabled, her limitless love and courage inspired those closest to her to establish this fund in her name to pay for services, orthotics and equipment for children whose parents cannot afford to provide the care their children desperately need.  Though Mary passed in 2003, her brief life was filled with joy.  It is this joy that her family wanted to make sure every special needs child and their families could have together.  This they achieve by helping families of s[ecial needs children by jelping to pay for therapies, equipment, special programs such as Saturday Stars an adaptive sports, dance, arts & crafts program.
