12th Annual Wiffle for Cancer Tournament  •   Sunday, June 12

wiffle for cancerThe 12th Annual Wiffle for Cancer Tournament is coming up on Sunday, June 12th. The tournament will be held in honor of Nick Currey, in support of the Nick Currey Fund for Ewing Sarcoma Research. Over the past 11 years, a total of 480 teams have competed in 1,600 games, raising $155,000 for the Nick Currey Fund. There will be six round robin games proceeded by a single-elimination round and then a championship game. Be sure to think of a team name and come prepared with a fun team “uniform.” Prizes will be awarded to those with the most creative names, t-shirts, and costumes.

The lowdown:

  • Rain or shine, this event will be on Sunday, June 12th
  • Begins at Noon (check in starts at 11:30 am)
  • Hosted by Ridgewood HS
  • Enter to play Wiffle Ball in support of Ewing Sarcoma research!
  • Teams should be 3-5 players

Summer Recreational Softball Program
Get your bats and gloves ready because the Ridgewood Baseball and Softball Association is back with summer softball at Vets Field!

What you need to know:

  • Players entering 1st grade-High School are eligible to sign up
  • Run by Ellen Seavers, former TCNJ and RHS shortstop
  • Camp focuses on different skills based on age and ability
  • Two sessions per day: 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm
  • Players can choose to attend one or both sessions per day
  • 6 weeks of camp (starting the week of June 21!)
  • $90 per week
  • Discounts are available when players sign up for 5 or 6 weeks of camp
  • Players can also sign up for single days at $25 per day.
  • The best part…each camper will receive a RBSA camp t-shirt!
