Tex Mex

Best recipe out there for a tex mex and super easy. This recipe was passed onto me from my brother’s girlfriend who lived in Houston, Texas. This was 30 years ago and it is still my go to for an appetizer and everyone loves it. Super easy as well.

Size: many

Ingredients:
1 jar salsa
1 can tomatoes with chiles
1 can chopped green chiles
1 pound ground beef
1 package shredded Mexican blend cheese

Directions:

Saute ground beef and drain fat. Then you add the salsa, tomatoes and chiles to the beef and stir over the heat for about 3 minutes. Pour whole thing into a 9×13 pyrex or casserole dish or aluminum pan if you are taking it to someone’s house. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 350 degrees until heated through and cheese melted. Sometimes I put the the first three ingredients in a food processor because my kids don’t like chunks of tomatoes. Serve with Scoops. Enjoy!
