Contemporary Wall Decor

Making an old home look more modern is a homeowner’s challenge. Modernize your walls with some new art. You may or may not have the budget, but that doesn’t mean you can’t own a great piece of contemporary art.

20×200 has art, prints and photographs in a curated collection that are carefully produced and affordable. Each piece is accompanied by an artist-signed and numbered certificate that ensures the one you own is part of an exclusive edition created with the artist. Once they’re sold out, they’re gone for good-so if you see something you like, snap it up.

Photographers Gallery is a Los Angeles based website of actual photographs you can buy taken by famous photographers like Slim Aarons. Order in custom sizes and have them frame it, or take it to your framer (see Frame It! post). I saw this oversized photograph of Bridgitte Bardot hanging in a decorator showhouse in Connecticut.

Located in Englewood, NJ the Mark Gallery Collection of Fine Art has an inspiring collection of contemporary artwork. Gallery owner Arielle Mark is both welcoming and knowledgeable about the stable of artists she represents. You can pick out some pieces and Arielle will deliver them to your home. Art pieces include sculptures, oil-based works and photography. Exhibitions usually run for one or two months at a time offering a selection of paintings, mixed media, photography and sculptures. 11 Grand Avenue, Englewood, New Jersey.
