2012 Holiday Tipping Guide

Wondering how much to tip your hairstylist, babysitter, mail carrier and everyone else in between? Check out Gifts.com’s 2012 Holiday Tipping Guide. It breaks down the rules of proper etiquette on holiday giving when it comes to a cash tip and/or present as well. Here are a few of their suggestions:

Babysitter: one or two nights’ pay, consider a gift card as opposed to cash
Daycare Staff: $25-$70 for each staff member plus a small gift from child
USPS Mail Carrier: non-cash gift with value up to $20, civil servants are not allowed to receive cash tips
Hairstylist: cost of one haircut
Garbage Collector: $15 to $30
Personal Trainer: $60 to $100 or cost of 1 session
