Wiffle for Cancer
The 8th annual Wiffle for Cancer tournament to benefit the Nick Currey Fund for Ewing sarcoma research will be held on Sunday, June 10th at 12:00 noon, rain or shine, at Ridgewood High School, 627 East Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood, New Jersey.
The tournament is held each year in memory of Nick Currey, a 2004 graduate of Ridgewood High School who passed away in November 2005 after a 14-month battle with Ewing sarcoma, a cancer of the bone that strikes children, adolescents, and young adults. The Nick Currey Fund has raised over $600,000 to date.
The tournament features a “competitive” division and a “recreational” division, depending on how serious you want to take the game. The tournament is open to all ages and is limited to 64 teams. Be sure to register ASAP to reserve your spot (before June 1st). The registration fee is $50 per team, including a t-shirt for all participating members.
