The Ridgewood High School New Players will present the hysterical whodunnit Clue: On Stage. Based on the 1985 movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. Six mysterious guests assemble at a remote mansion for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!
Clue is a madcap.” says Morgan Knight, returning as director after a sold-out production of Mamma Mia! in July. “It features the best of slapstick and physical comedy, which is so difficult to do well. The students have tackled this challenge with absolute fearlessness and skill beyond their years. The sheer amount of laughter in the rehearsal room is testament to how fun Clue is going to be.”
Clue has four performances: Thursday Oct. 20 at 7:00PM, Friday Oct. 21 at 8:00PM, and Saturday Oct. 22 at 2:00PM and 8:00PM
Tickets may be purchased at rhsnewplayers.com and at the door! Credit cards and cash are accepted at the door.
