4 Reasons I Love Coastal Taco–With or Without Kids

We recently had friends in town from NY and I wanted to show off one of the coolest areas in the city: the Flats. So we took them to Coastal Taco for cocktails and apps before heading to the Jake to see the Tribe. If you’re going with kids, between the outdoor games and the view, there’s plenty to keep them occupied while you enjoy some adult time.

Here are 4 Reasons I Love Hanging Out at Coastal Taco:

1. Take in an Awesome View of the Water.
Sit and watch paddlers during their evening workout coming up the river. The restaurant is situated under a bridge and has that perfect combination of water and industrial beauty that the Flats are known for.

2. The Price.
Everything on their menu is $10 and under. In fact, the most expensive item was the hamburger. Tacos are $4 each and 2 tacos with some chips to much on is all the meal you need.

3. The Cocktail Menu.
I usually go for the Ancho-Cucumber Margarita because it’s cool and refreshing but recently tried the Coastal Paloma and got hooked. It’s made with tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, agave, and rimmed with pink peppercorn-salt.

4. Fun Factor.
Listen to a DJ while you play a game of pool, cornhole, or a giant game of Connect 4. If you’re there with the kids, they’ll be entertained while you have time to enjoy your mojito!
