7 Ways to Celebrate Spring
Sunday will mark the beginning of Daylight Savings Time, and with that an extra hour of sunlight, we can only hope that spring weather can’t be too far behind. Take a look at some our favorite ways to celebrate the season.
1- GET A PASTEL PEDI – Before you expose those toes, consider ‘Truth or Flare’ by Essie or another of the dozens of new pale hues.
2- TRY A SMOOTHIE THAT’LL WAKE YOU UP – Ridgewood’s new hotspot, Superjuice Nation’s “Satisfy My Soul’ smoothie, is packed with nutritious almond milk, dates, chia and coffee! Visit them on Chestnut Street.
3- GET A JUMP ON THE FARMERS’ MARKET – Ridgewood’s Sunday farmers’ market won’t open for several weeks, all the more reason to check out Fresh From The Farm 365‘s online green market. Crazy good, locally sourced veggies, fruits, meats and cheeses delivered to your door.
4- LOSE YOURSELF IN A STORY – There’s nothing like a good book to get your mind of off snow that doesn’t seem to melt. ever. One of our recent favorites, The Goldfinch.
5- BE PREPARED – Chances are, after the snow melts, rain will follow. Get ready with a cheery new brolly. This dog print umbrella is less than 30 bucks right now at One Kings Lane.
6- MARK YOUR CALENDAR – Local dad and indie rocker, Dave Slomin, and his band Waiting For Henry will perform at NYC’s Mercury Lounge on March 15. Check them out and have a listen here.
7- COLOR YOUR WORLD – It will still be a while before we see spring colors in our garden, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear some. This cozy, comfy cashmere sweatshirt is 25% off right now at J. Crew.
