What to Do When You Have a Sunburn

Ever done this???

Even when you’re careful. occasionally sunburns still happen. When they do, there is not much you can do about them. Like a hangover, the best cure is simply time.

Good to have on hand.

However, there are a couple things you can try to ease the pain and maybe speed up the healing:

  1. Stay out of the sun until healed.
  2. Take cool showers.
  3. Use ibuprofen, ice and Aloe Vera Gel for the pain.
  4. Drink more fluids than usual — not the alcoholic kind. Water is best.
  5. Avoid the numbing sprays, as they can cause further sensitization.
  6. If severe pain, non-healing blisters or damaged skin is present, you can see a doctor who may prescribe a short course of steroids.
