Top Ten Reasons I Hate Food Shopping
10 – Walking into a supermarket is Groundhog day. It is the same thing over and over and over and … Why do these kids need to eat so much anyway?
9 – I always get the cart that pulls hard to the right or makes loud squeaking noises.
8 – I bump into the same person going up and down the aisles in the other direction. It gets really boring smiling and saying, “excuse me” and giggling like, This is so weird. We keep bumping into each other. What are the chances?
7 – Food stores smell foul and the lighting is bad.
6 – The person on line in front of me always has an issue or, this is going to sound terrible but I am really my worst self at the food store, they are really old and slow, and I find myself rolling my eyes and tapping my foot impatiently at a 90 year old paying with food stamps. Awful, I know.
5 – The cashier always pisses me off. Either they are lazy with a bad attitude or they are too damn cheerful.
4 – I am not good at it. I have no method, just madness. The women with germ proof snugglies for the baby seat, envelopes full of coupons and smiles on their faces make me feel inadequate.
3 – It is ineffective. Take food off shelves and put in the cart. Take food from cart and put on conveyor belt. Put food in bags. Put bags in car. Take bags from car to kitchen. Unpack bags. Put food on shelf. In a world where we are close to people visiting Mars, there has to be a better way.
2 – I always forget something.
And the number one reason I hate food shopping …
I have to go again today!
