The ACT or New SAT?
If you’re graduating in the class of 2017, you may be wondering whether you should study for the newly redesigned SAT or the ACT. In general, the two tests have become more similar, but there are still a few differences that may sway you towards one or the other. The main problem with the new SAT is that it’s more challenging to study for a newly released test and there are fewer practice materials. If you’re planning to take a test in 2016 and wavering between the two options, I would recommend going with the ACT. Forbes has an article with 3 Reasons You Shouldn’t Take the New SAT and NY TIMES has the Big Problem With The New SAT.
Here are the ACT dates, it is easiest to register online on the website to get your preferred testing location.
