Spring House Tours

With Spring 2012 well underway, and warm weather right around the corner, we’re gearing up for local Spring House Tours! A day spent with friends is a day well spent, and what better way to spend it than getting inspired by beautifully decorated homes open to the public. Here are three great tours in the month of May.

1) The Woman’s Club of Ridgewood will hold its Fifteenth Annual Spring House Tour on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 9:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m.  The tour, which is a charity event, will feature homes located in and around Ridgewood, NJ. The annual Spring House Tour is the largest fundraiser hosted by the Woman’s Club of Ridgewood, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community.  The 2011 House Tour, which had 800 attendees, raised $27,000 for charities serving women and children. Advance purchase Spring House Tour tickets are $40 per person and are tax-deductible.  Tickets are available for sale via Pay Pal, or you may send an email to RidgewoodHouseTour@gmail.com. Tickets are also available at the Clubhouse on the day of the tour for $45.

2) Near & Far Aid proudly announces the 2012 House Tour, featuring five exceptional designer homes in exclusive enclaves of Westport, Southport and Greenfield Hill, CT. The day’s events kick off with a Decorating Power Breakfast at the Patterson Club in Fairfield with guest speaker – Jeffery Bilhuber, who is universally recognized as a major force for his fresh spin on classic designs. May 04, 2012 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

3) The New York Junior League invites you to the 17th Annual Spring House Tour on Saturday, May 5th, 2012. The New York Junior League’s Annual House Tours are devoted to showcasing New York City’s prestigious and luxurious residences, while highlighting architecture, art, history and the exquisite style of interior design. House Tour showcases homes in some of the city’s most sought-after neighborhoods, including Midtown East, the Meatpacking District, the Upper West Side and the West Village. The tour commences with a breakfast at the Astor House, followed by a self-guided tour through the homes; a buffet lunch, post-tour cocktail reception, and silent auction are also included. Past tours have featured both designers’ own residences as well as those of their clients.
