Ramsey Farmer’s Market 8th Annual Peach Festival

The award winning, non profit Ramsey Farmers’ Market celebrates their 8th annual Peach Festival and “Perfect Peach Pie/Cobbler” contest on Sunday, August 6th at the Erie Plaza train station, W. Main Street, Ramsey from 9AM-2PM.

Luscious, juicy peaches and nectarines,  peach tea, peach lemonade, peach pies, muffins and cakes, peach cheesecake, peach jam and peach granola are only some of the “peach centric”, local produce and products offered at the Peach Festival – all at the height of New Jersey peach season!  There will also be free chances for give-a-ways, great music, children’s books signings and crafts, and chef demos.

Calling all amateurs to break out those pie pans and join us at our 8th annual Perfect Peach Pie/Cobbler contest, sponsored by the New Jersey Council of Peaches. The contest is held each year at various selected farmers’ markets throughout New Jersey with the winner of each markets’ contest going on to submit their winning pie a second time at a final judging site ( tba) with a chance to win a grand prize of $300 from the NJ Peach Promotion Council. Contestants should bring their pie/cobbler to the Ramsey Farmers’ Market main market table by 11:30 August 6th with judging taking place at noon. A gift certificate to the contest winner of the Ramsey Farmers’ Market will also be awarded.

The Ramsey Farmers’ Market is open every Sunday from 9AM-2PM, June-November outdoor with over 50 outstanding farmers and food purveyors and moves indoors to the Eric Smith School for Sundays December-March.
