NY/NJ Super Bowl 2014 Volunteer Opportunities
New Jersey is excited to host the first outdoor, cold-weather Super Bowl. Set your calendars for Feb. 2, 2014. That’s the date for the Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium, the home of the Jets and Giants.
The intrigue around the cold-weather game will be whether or not it snows, a possibility the NFL has embraced. Since 2001, there has been no significant snow fall on Feb. 2, and the average high temperature is 43 degrees with an average low of 27 degrees.
Check the official site as game day nears for more detailed updates with developments, including how to get tickets.
You can register now to be a volunteer. Volunteers will work as greeters at airport terminals, train stations, and other transportation sites, provide information at hotels and tourist locations, and assist with NFL events and other special events. On game day, the Host Committee will not require any volunteer support inside MetLife stadium. Volunteers must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts (3-4 hours each) for the volunteer assignment they choose. Volunteers will not receive tickets to the Super Bowl.
