The Ridgewood Department of Parks and Recreation annually hosts holiday collections to assist those less fortunate. This year, they are collection outerwear, toys, food and household goods.
Mitten Drive • through December 19
Adorn the Stable holiday tree with new mittens, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, slippers, thermal wear, etc.; all to benefit the “Center for Hope and Safety.”Toy Drive • through December 19
The LCPL Jedh Barker Detachment #1211 Marine Corps League is hard at work with their annual drive to make such a difference to children with Toys for Tots. Donations should include new, unwrapped gifts.Food and Household Donations • through December 19
Much needed food, personal and household items will be forwarded to the pantry shelves of Social Service of Ridgewood and Vicinity. Suggested donations include boxed cereal, pasta, rice, canned juices, vegetables, soup, fruit, canned fish and meats, tomato sauce, peanut butter, jelly, shampoos, toothpaste, soap, laundry detergent and paper products.Drop off at the Stable, 259 North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood. 201-670-5560
