It’s Not Easy Being Green, But Lafayette School Did It!
It’s not easy being green but the Chatham’s Lafayette School has done it! Sustainable Jersey for Schools is a certification program for New Jersey public schools that want to go green, conserve resources and take steps to create a brighter future, one school at a time. Chatham Superintendent Dr. Michael LaSusa announced that Lafayette Schools the first school in the district to earn bronze status certification. Because of this certification, Chatham has an opportunity to apply for financial resources in the form of grants and incentives. There are 194 certified schools in New Jersey, 181 at the bronze level and 13 which have reached silver certification.
