Holiday Sugar Cookies – The Easy Way!

I love all the fun holiday cookies. They look amazing and taste great too. I made them once with a friend and it took hours to roll them out and decorate them. It was very labor intensive, and results were well worth it, but sometimes I just don’t have that much time. I recently came across this recipe, and it is a super easy way to make some festive holiday cookie bars that look and taste great. And they are so easy to make for the holiday or any day of the week.

Ingredients:

1 pouch (1.5oz) Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
½ butter, softened
1 egg
1 cup white vanilla chocolate chips
1 cup red and green, blue and yellow, or any color you like M&M’s

Directions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees
Line a 13×9 inch pan with tin foil and spray with cooking spray

In a large bowl combine the cookie mix, butter, and egg with a spoon until the dough forms.
Stir in ½ a cup of the candies and the all white cholocate chips
Press dough evenly in the pan
Sprinkle remaining candies on the top
Bake for 22-24 minutes or until golden brown
Cool completely and then cut into squares
