Halloween Costumes for Tween Girls


This can be a “tricky” age when it comes to Halloween as many costumes targeted for tweens seem to fall in the cringe-worthy category. Check out these fun costume options that work great solo or with a group of friends. Some require a quick trip to a costume or party store to accessorize.

Bedhead:
– fuzzy robe
– slippers or furry boots
– eye mask with fun saying
– teddy bear

American Idol contestant:
 anything goes clothing wise
– small sign with AI icon with your “contestant number”
– microphone

Football or hockey player:
– borrow your brother’s (or friend’s) football or hockey pads and team jersey

Favorite Celebrity:
– Hunger Games stars may be big this year

Toddlers & Tiaras contestant:
 – glittery party outfit
– lots of eye shadow, lipstick, and hairspray
– tiara

Referee:
– add white stripes to a black t-shirt
– whistle

Chef:
– white chef coat if available
– chef hat
– big bowl and spatula

Princess Cowgirl (all in pink, of course!):
– cowgirl hat
– boa
– bandana
– starlit sunglasses
– jeans
– boots

Hippie:
– anything tie-dye
– jeans
– round sunglasses

Crayon (the more, the merrier):
