Father’s Day: ‘Tis the Time for Alcohol-Themed Gifts

I just stopped at The Wine Seller, 6 W Ridgewood Ave, to check out the beautiful candles I saw in the window on my date after my quarantine Ridgewood date night with Larry. They are designed by the sculptor, Andrej Urem, who has a piece in the MOMA. They make a great hostess gift, or if you are just trying to enjoy your nights at home, treat yourself. As they burn the details of the piece are brought to life, and to extend life, you can insert a tea light candle when the wick has burned down a bit. They use Eco Soy wax blended with beeswax and lead free cotton wicks, so there isn’t black sooty smoke. The burning time for each candle can exceed more than sixty hours. Check out the website for some glowing inspiration. These at The Wine Seller were $35.

While there, I did some Father’s Day shopping. Check! There is no time like now to up his alcohol game;) Truly, there is some beautiful glassware, unique bartending accessories and interesting, fun coasters. Add a bottle, and maybe a fun tie, and your work is done. Might as well give him what he (you) really wants these days.
