Have you always wanted to learn to sew? Take a one day class or throw a ladies night (no sewing experience required). M. Avery Designs in Hoboken has a variety of classes for adults and children.
By the end of ONE Make It and Take It class, you can bring home something wonderful like a Pouf Floor Cushion, Cell Phone Charger Pocket, or Laptop Case.
Get a group of six or more ladies together and everyone will design and stitch their very own custom handbag. Don’t worry, there is absolutely no sewing experience required! You choose the fabric for the outside & lining and add any extras you would like.
M. Avery holds a Home Décor Boot camp (think awesome beaded throw pillows, a throw blanket, curtains) or try the Intro to Silk Screen Workshop. Create a printed garment of your choice (fabric, scarf, t-shirt, onesy, etc). All of the classes are small enough to facilitate learning, and allow you to get one-on-one attention. You work at your own pace, so you don’t feel the pressure of getting things done quickly.
Operating out of Hoboken since 1998, M Avery Designs is more than a great place to get handmade bags. At this “Lab Studio and Collective Boutique,” customers can create their own designs, attend workshops and parties, take group and private crafting lessons or just use the sewing equipment.
