Concussions

The past few years we have been hearing nonstop about the effects concussion are having on children. The media has me somewhat panicked about them. I worry if I should let my son play football in elementary school. We all need to better educate ourselves in order to make informed decisions when it comes to our children playing contact sports. I know it is not all hype because I personally know a few children who received multiple concussions this year.  It was scary for the child and the parents. The recovery was longer than you think. I have found a great seminar coming up next week, right here at Valley Hospital.
