Christmas Gifts for Kids

Check out the video below in which my kids weigh in on some of their favorite gifts. A couple of my favorite tips were left on the cutting room floor:

— Use different, fun wrapping paper for each person you buy a lot of gifts for. This way, tags don’t fall off, you aren’t scrambling at the 11th hour, you can wrap as you buy, and nothing gets missed or confused.

— Bundle items. Can’t think of a good gift for a kid on your list, put lots of little things in a box or basket, e.g. a crafts basket, a photo box, a superhero basket, a reading box, a cooking basket, etc.

— Give magazine subscriptions to Highlights, National Geographic Kids, Sports Illustrated, etc.

—  I love the idea of a “day in town” gift for older kids. Get gift cards to Starbucks, the movie theater, a sweet treat spot. Throw in a manicure gift card for girls.

This video will give you some more ideas.
