Calling All High School Artists!

In celebration of Earth Day 2012, high school students in the area are invited to enter a multi-media art contest hosted by the Students for Environmental Action and Ridgewood Environmental Action Committee at Ridgewood High School. Students can submit poetry, music, creative writing, sculpture, photography, painting, drawing, 2D, or computer-generated images. The deadline for submission is March 30. The theme of this year’s Earth Day Fair is “Trees in the Village.”

The original artwork must be dropped off at the RHS Art Department and a digital image of the submission should be sent to atreeinthevillage@gmail.com. Please include the student’s name, grade, title, email address, and phone number as well as an explanation of the artwork and a signed release stating that the submission can be put on display. All artwork will be exhibited at RHS and the Earth Day Fair in Van Neste Square in Ridgewood on April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more info, email atreeinthevillage@gmail.com.
