Age-Appropriate Bras for the Younger Set

Heaven forbid that I embarrass my soon-to-be middle school daughter with talk of bras. Let’s just say that much of what I’ve found in the way of undergarments when shopping for a certain someone comes with unnecessary padding and underwires. Really? Eleven year-olds need push-ups? Luckily, I came across a terrific new company called Yellowberry, created by 18 year-old Megan Grassell. Impressively, while still in high school, Megan’s idea for a establishing better options for young adolescents came after she and her tween sister went first-time bra shopping and she was dismayed by the choices. Megan’s designs are perfect for the 11-to-14 year old set that wants to wear something sporty and comfortable and not overtly va-va-va-voomish. I love the styles, the fabrics, and the colors.
