Al Fresco Dining at Salt in Merrick

Summer is here and what better way to enjoy it than dining alfresco. Salt on the Water is the perfect spot where an amazing waterfront is combined with mouthwatering cuisine. This is one of Merrick’s newest places to dine and totally worth the visit. For an appetizer the Charred Octopus was fabulous, cooked to perfection. As a fish lover I couldn’t help but move on to the Swordfish as my entree which I really enjoyed alongside my view. This is really the perfect spot to spend a fun evening out with the girls or a romantic date night with your significant other.

Tips to get the most out of Al Fresco Dining:

Make a reservation. Outdoor seating is not always easy to get and you could miss out on that beautiful sunset.
Expect some uninvited guests. Eating outside means you will definitely be subject to mosquitos, bees, flies etc. Be prepared with bug spray!
Check the weather. Summer nights on the water can be a little chilly. It might be best to bring a wrap or light sweater with you to throw on if necessary.
