The weather is beautiful and it’s time to start thinking about the summer!
The Summit Family Aquatic Center (SFAC) will open for its 45th Anniversary on Saturday, May 27!
This year the Summit Family Aquatic Center will be offering lots of “Aquatainment” for Summit residents and non-residents….from Mermaid Classes to Float Night to Aquacise.
Kayaking and Paddleboarding
Paddleboard: July 29 or August 26
Kayak: July 15 or August 12
Sessions from 8:00-9:20AM or 9:30-10:50AM
$50.00 per session
Master these exciting water sports alongside trained instructors from Kayak East, LLC and kayak or paddle board in the comfort and safety of the SFAC. The only shark you’ll have to worry about here is Shark Diddy. *Must be able to swim comfortably in deep water.

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a mermaid? Now is your chance! In this new and exciting class, you will be able to learn to swim just like the mermaids do! Monofins and Mermaid fin will be available to purchase with registration. This crash course in becoming a mermaid will end in a special photoshoot. *Must be able to swim comfortably.
Adult Aquacise
Monday-Friday from 10:45-11:45AM
Beginning Monday, June 26
Plunge into daily water exercise. No prior swimming ability required.
T’ai Chi
Wednesdays from 9:45-10:45AM
Beginning Wednesday, July 5
Learn to relax and de-stress using the gentle motions of T’ai Chi. Many health benefits have been attributed to this ancient practice.
Gentle Chair Yoga
Fridays from 9:45-10:45AM
Beginning Friday, June 30
Experience various styles of yoga. Positions will be modified for those who have balance and range-of-motion issues.
Swim Lessons with New Wave
Members, ages 4 – 10
Weekly Sessions with Classes Monday-Thursday

Sessions from 10:00-10:30AM, 10:30-11:00AM, 11:00-11:30AM or 11:30-12:00AM
$60.00 per week
The SFAC’s youngest swimmers are encouraged to develop an awareness of important water safety skills while developing basic stroke techniques. During the first lesson, swimmers will be placed into one of three groups based on ability and water comfort level. All swim lesson groups will have a 4:1 ratio.

The SFAC’s youngest swimmers are encouraged to become acclimated with the water in a safe and nurturing environment at the Summit Family Aquatic Center. With parents present in the water, young swimmers will have their first experiences in the water in their first steps towards becoming comfortable in the water. All swim lesson groups will have a 4:1 ratio.
Float Night
Float Nights will be on WEDNESDAY evenings from 6:00-8:00PM starting on Wednesday, June 28th.
