Transform Reading & Writing From Frustrating to Fun!

 As part of its innovative “Express Yourself!” programming, Little Ivy Academy of Ridgewood has designed two reading/writing courses for 3rd- to 5th-grade students. Both combine real learning with pure hands-on fun for children.

“Mysteries: We’re On The Case!” offers students the unique opportunity to discover each of the key elements of a compelling mystery. In a small-group setting, the students read and discuss mystery stories before creating their own mysteries. These writing pieces will then be used as “games” for the class to follow the clues. Students are sure to be intrigued!

Little Ivy Academy’s “Be The Biographer!” supports a primary component of the Ridgewood literacy curriculum – personal narrative. In this program, biographers discover and practice the techniques of biography research and writing. Think Journalism 101 with lots of twists!
