PYO Peaches

Pick-Your-Own Farms are offering peaches from late July through August. Eating local can be a challenge in the winter, but during the summer, pick-your-own farms make it an opportunity for family fun—and there’s no better crop to start with than peaches.

You can bring the whole family to one of the below farms, all of which offer PYO peaches. Some farms offer hay rides, hen houses, and other kid-friendly activities. Just be sure to call and verify the vitals before heading out the door. Bake a peach pie, cobbler, or try making Emily’s Arugula, Yellow Tomato, and Nectarine Salsa (she also recommends using peaches in the recipe).
