Jasper Gift Shop

Jasper Gallery and Gifts in Midland Park, which opened over a year ago is where the owners put their collective love of art and contemporary and vintage objects together in a gift store. Visits to estate sales, tag sales and flea markets yielded a variety of merchandise. Across the street from the famed Brownstone Mill Antique Center, they found a rubblestone cottage they believe may have been a stable at one time, possibly an accessory building to the embroidery factory that once dominated the area. Now the door opens into a cozy room filled with a seasonal array of dishes, linens, restored furniture and whatever gift items strike their fancy. A basket of antique cigar tins repurposed as gift containers sits next to a display of coasters with design inserts. “We’re a combination of vintage and contemporary,” said the owners. “We think it’s a unique viewing and shopping experience, with something for everyone in every price range.”

Jasper Gallery and Gifts is at 26 Goffle Road, Midland Park, but is actually the small cottage behind the main building, accessed via the parking lot around the corner on Paterson Road, across from the Brownstone Mill.
