Bloomfest

Annual Essex County Cherry Blossom Festival happens from April 7 – 22 at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ. Here’s a little known fact – New Jersey has more cherry trees than Washington D.C. and every spring residents and visitors alike can see the largest cherry blossom collection in the United States. This two week festival features a 10K cherry blossom run, a bike race, children’s fun run, a race for the disabled, a photography workshop and more. The highlight is Bloomfest, which includes live entertainment, children’s activities, cultural demos, the Bloomfest marketplace and more. The  Bloomfest will take place on April 22 from 11am – 5pm.
