2 Rumson High School Students Make a Difference

Two Rivers Rumson-Fair Haven High School Students Tyler Lubin and Noah Tucker grew up enjoying the Navesink River. They fished, kayaked, sailed and, swam. So they were saddened by the river’s deterioration. So, they decided to do something about it. They developed “Save the Navesink River”to raise money to clean the river up. Funds will be used to place tube-like booms around storm drains and filter out the fecal bacteria in water runoff before it enters the Navesink River and its tributaries.

Their goal was $6,500. They were able to reach half of that in just 4 days! Currently, they are at $4,465–and that’s with the help of just 83 people.
